I read about you in Dive Magazine and was particularly struck by how your images stood out from the certainly hundreds, possibly thousands of images I look at for each issue of UwP so I thought I’d get in touch and see if you would be willing to divulge your techniques and tips. But before that let’s start with the usual. When, why and where? I have not had or done any training as a (underwater) photographer. I graduated from the College of Architecture and wanted to become an architect. Unfortunately, that didn’t work out because the financial crisis started in 2008 in the Netherlands when I had just left school and the jobs as architectural engineer were not up for grabs.
