49 It has often been said that Macro photography is easy. There is some truth behind this belief as beginners, with a minimal amount of equipment, can achieve acceptable macro results with little or no practice. However, if you are looking to achieve better than "acceptable" results from your macro images, a thorough knowledge of the specialized equipment and techniques available to the macro photographer will help tremendously.
